NEWS UPDATE - 22nd August, 2005 - New song written during latest ministry trip to New Zealand.
A prophetic prayer for revival to be birthed in the nation of New Zealand.
Whilst in prayer, I felt that God was placing a huge burden on my heart for New Zealand. The chorus for this song then came as a spontaneous song. Whilst ministering in Rhema church Whangarei, New Zealand, I was on the stage with the worship team, and all of a sudden the rest of the song came to me and I knew that we had to sing it immediately. I quickly asked for paper and a pen and wrote out the lyric and music. We then sang the song and the prescence of God filled the church and we all began to cry out for the nation of New Zealand. People wept as they interceded for the nation that they love, and all of a sudden I began to speak out how God was going to move in this nation greater than ever before (and later I found that Phil Pringle & George Pearsons had prophesied the same thing) and that God's people where to stop writing off New Zealand as a Godless nation but speaking out and thanking God for the nations wonderful Christian heritage and that there is a divine destiny and blessing on this nation. As soon as I got back to Auckland, my friend Ray Watson and I sensed the significance of the moment and did a quick demo of this song in his home studio to make it readily available. I know that it seems strange a song like this coming from an aussie, but I love the nation of New Zealand and I believe that we are linked spiritually. We have stood side by side in many wars and that ANZAC spirit is alive and well in 2005. May the words of this song capture the hearts of God's people in this great nation and help bring to pass the divine purposes of God for this land.

how great it is to be alive. I'm sure you have all noticed that we live in an interesting season. I am not for one minute saying we buy into the worlds doom and gloom but we are in a time where we need to be completely in the middle of God's will. When we are in that place I am seeing acceleration and when I do "my thing" I see nothing but a brick wall. I was mediating on this and I thought of a prize fighter. They are always in some sort of training but a couple of months before the big fight, the one that they have been preparing for their whole life, their whole life is consumed with their training. I feel that this is the sort of season that we are in. I feel that the Lord is expanding my capacity to believe Him. I have felt no release to hugely fill up my diary with ministry dates until I sense a real confirmation from the Lord that He wants me to do that particular meeting. He is absolutely forbidding me to do a meeting just to meet a financial need and the money is coming in supernaturally. I believe many of us are seeing our needs met this way because we need to be a big capacity people that not only can be in rest for their own needs to be met, but that of other as well. What a great adventure.
Cathy and I ministered in europe a few weeks ago. Pray for europe as God is really moving, especially amongst the youth. I really have youth ministers on my heart at the moment. We have a lot of youth getting born again but we live in a world where young people need to be able to walk in all the promises of God and not just get their ticket to heaven. We are looking to empower youth ministers to teach young people who try apply the grace of God through faith and see the power of God touch their whole lives. I have just done a lot of work fixing up the vocals on my devotion cd which is a cd of sung scripture for prayer and meditation of the word. There is such a need to not just have the word in our heads but alive in our hearts. I felt to spend more money on this project to improve the level of excellence because of the importance of this project. Please pray that the Lord opens doors to get it into the hands. We are sowing a lot of these to a lot of people. Thank you for your prayer and support. We could not do what we do without you
